Installing WordPress via Softaculous

On this page

Softaculous lets you install WordPress and many other applications in just a few clicks, without manually creating a database or uploading files.

Installing WordPress

Step 1: Open Softaculous

Log into cPanel and open Softaculous Apps Installer, then find WordPress (it's usually featured at the top).

Step 2: Click Install

Click Install Now to start the setup form.

Step 3: Choose your domain and settings

Select which domain (or subdomain) to install on, leave the "In Directory" field blank if you want WordPress at the root of the domain, and set your site name, admin username and admin password.

Step 4: Install

Click Install and wait for the progress bar to complete. Softaculous creates the database, uploads WordPress and configures it automatically.

Logging into WordPress

Once installed, visit yourdomain.com/wp-admin and sign in with the admin username and password you set during installation.
